About
He was born in 1950. He was an eminent India Parliamentarian, and Minister of Education and Healthcare in Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s cabinet in the 1980s. Pusapati Ananda Gajapathi Raju was destined for greatness from the outset as a scion of the royal family of Vizianagaram princely state, Being the first child of the last Maharaja of Vizianagaram, Maharaja PVG Raju and his queen Kusuma Gajapathi, he inherited a rich heritage of leadership and service and his upbringing instilled in him values of integrity, compassion, and dedication to public welfare. He pursued his education with diligence, laying the foundation for a future marked by excellence. He did his primary education in Gwalior, Madras Loyola College followed by American Stetson University and Andhra University. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in Humanistic Studies by the Inter-American University of Florida, USA in 2003. He received his PhD in Economics from Andhra University in 2009.
